Votre parcours en quelques mots ? /
Your route(course) in a few words?
I was always in the universe of the creation because from the high school I chose an High school diploma F12 Art appliqués. After some wanderings I entered the School of Fine Arts of Arras in section Stained-glass window, with a particular attraction towards the creation, the work of texture, materials in the oven but also the search for the line so important in stained-glass window. Then I entered Cerfav, to resume and complete the training in glass and stained-glass window. What led me to find an employment in a workshop of creation and restoration of stained-glass windows, where I specialized in painting and works of fusing in the oven! Until my dismissal in 2009 which drove me to settle me in my account, always in stained-glass window (subcontracting of painting, creation and restoration) but especially in creations of glass objects merged and jewels. The weaving of metal, him, since 2011.
La naissance d’une passion : le jour où tout a commencé ? /
The birth of a passion: when everything began?
I came to the jewel weaved accidentally(by chance) by looking for a way to emphasize my cabochons of fused glass … Fused Glass do you tell me? Hey yes I am a glassworker by training, not to say vitrailliste, I created and restore stained-glass windows for churches, but what always interested in me it is the creation! Draw contemporary windows or reinterpret traditional motives, but also exploit new techniques thanks to the work of the glass in the oven … This is the way since 2005, I started a range of glass objects merged, dishes, vases, cups or other candle jars … But the request of jewels was there … I try news items, colors, forms, motives, cookings, finishes, but I was never satisfied by the result. Between the poor quality primers and the glues which did not hold, I was almost convinced to give up this idea of range of glass jewels … Then I said to myself that I had to find a complementary technique to make the finishes around my glass cabochons. Then I looked, looked, looked on the net … I tilted at first to the idea of the dough of metal, discovering the work of some great creators of whom Lisa Barth. She is a great lady who makes a very beautiful work of dough of metal, unique pieces, for the original design, and for the very well-kept finishes, which she sometimes completes of a work of wire … Curious I looked her other creations, and I fell on an artist so accomplished in wire's weaving … And I said to myself that it was a wonderful idea! And I launched.

In 2009/2011, I spent hours and hours to test, to experiment, to look for information … And I trained, trained, trained … In the year 2011 I proposed my first jewels in brass wire, who were magnificently received, and who urged to me to continue. Since I always experiment … After some unfortunate tries, I refuse to work the plated or dressed wires who darken and become quickly irremediable. I created jewels designed to last, that we can maintain and wear for years! I specialize in the wires of massive metals, copper, bronze, brass and Silver 925.
Une de vos créations qui vous a marquée (et pourquoi) ? /
One of your creations which stood out to you (and why)?
In 2012 I began the collection Tissaaré with a finer wire ( 0,3mm ), and which opened me a universe of possibilities. I specialize little by little in a very fine and meticulous weaving, in sober and uncluttered lines, but sometimes also more baroque, with more complex weavings. In 2013, I marked a stage thanks to the design and the manufacturing of a big necklace in complex weavings, realized by more than 60 hours of weaving (except design), this exceptional piece marked a stage, as a diploma or an examination which would validate the acquisition of a know-how …

Avez-vous déjà participé à un marché de créateurs ou une boutique éphémère ? /
Have you already participated in creators' market or short-lived shop?
Yes in both but only the short-lived shops have of the potential for me. It is a challenge every time to find at the same time an interesting place, a quality team (people and creations) and especially to manage to affect(touch) the quality public who looks for our realizations. Group together allows to create an energy which opens us the doors of commercial, unaffordable locations for us usually (finance, time of presence and management) and which also allows us a better visibility.
